We’re senior level PR professionals; our combined experience spans large London PR agencies, in-house roles for charities and blue-chip companies, award-wining regional ﬁrms, and high profile public sector organisations. We constantly strive to achieve results for our clients, and continually work to expand our knowledge and keep one step ahead.
Our expertise lies in managing national, online, regional and trade campaigns for a variety of sectors including FMCG, retail, food and drink, entertainment and events, hair and beauty, B2B, leisure and tourism, and charities and social enterprises.
Pippa is the founder and managing director of Plain Speaking and has almost 20 years’ experience as a PR and communications professional.
Pippa has worked both in-house and agency side in the East of England and London. She’s experienced, across a variety of sectors including retail, hair & beauty, professional services, franchising, local government, education & training and leisure & tourism.
She has also worked with a number of charities and social enterprises, managing communication of complex and sensitive issues. Pippa is a trustee of The Benjamin Foundation.
Hannah has been a PR professional for more than ten years, working as an account director for two of the region’s leading specialist PR agencies. Importantly, she has also worked ‘in-house’. Her experience encompasses leisure, tourism & travel, food & drink, housing, not-for-profit/charities and B2B. Key clients have included Greene King, May Gurney and Blue Sky Leisure Group.
Catriona started her career in contract publishing before moving from London to Norfolk, where a meeting with Peter Wilson led to her formative role as Publicity Manager for Norwich Theatre Royal. After five happy years in Norwich, Catriona returned to London to lead media and public relations for Rambert Dance Company.
Catriona then moved to arts funding and development, spending eight years as Head of Communications for the London office of Arts Council England. She has worked in venue development, delivered a range of community engagement programmes, and advised high profile artists, senior stakeholders and politicians at all levels of government.
Catriona returned to East Anglia in 2015. In a moment of perfect synchronicity, she was introduced to Pippa by a mutual friend at the Theatre Royal.
Over a 10-year career in PR, Andy’s experience has been gained with some of the most highly regarded agencies in the UK, including AxiCom, Whiteoaks, Velvet PR and 3 Monkeys Zeno.
Primarily specialising in B2B, Andy has worked with global brands including Panasonic, DoubleClick by Google, Microsoft, and EDF Energy. Andy would like to consider himself a tech specialist, but in his career to date has worked with clients ranging from a UN agency, to a mergers and acquisitions firm.
Andy brings his strengths in copywriting, research and strategy development to Plain Speaking, where he leads on the NBC Environment and Teknomek accounts.
